ICT Vision Statement At Canadian Academy we believe that technology can best support education if its use supports the school’s mission, core values, and strategic objectives.

Long Range Planning Goals

1. Focus on human resource development as a way of increasing the utilization and integration of technology into the curriculum by using school wide professional and curriculum driven technology benchmarks.
2. Promote innovative technology initiatives that support student learning in the context of the curriculum, the classroom, and the immediate needs of the learner.
3. Concentrate on technology uses which help learners to manipulate, construct, modify, synthesize, and understand information and digital resources to creatively express their own learning and communication of that learning.
4. Initiate and promote professional development of our faculty and consider recruiting technology literate faculty and staff for Canadian Academy.
5. Encourage cooperation with business, scientific, community service, educational, and political organizations to develop relationships which provide information exchange, engage in mentoring, and demonstrate relevancy of learning objectives to the workplace and the world.
6. Continue to refine our electronic information services as dictated by improvements in technology and the needs of our learners.
7. Expand the use of telecommunication facilities in ways that facilitate and support efficient teacher, student, administrative, and parent communication and productivity.
8. Install and upgrade network capabilities throughout the school, phased in incrementally as educational benefit is demonstrated via curriculum driven needs.
9. Develop Intranet and Internet frameworks that promote and centralize access to library and school resources so that they are available to all our community.
10. Evaluate the above on an annual basis.
