Math Summer Work
Summer work will be assigned to those students who need more practice with addition, subtraction, multiplication and division of decimals, fractions and integers. Summer work will help you feel more prepared for grade 7 math. Those of you whose math teacher required you to do the summer work should hand it in to your grade 7 math teacher on the first day of school, Thursday August 20th.
Instructions:
1. During the last week of school, I will give you a paper copy of all the question sheets that you must complete. If you do not get a paper copy, you can print the pages yourself by opening the attached pdf files found below.
2. You can do the work on your own schedule but it is recommended you do at two pages (one topic) a day, spending about 30 minutes to complete the work. At this rate the work will take about two weeks.
You may wish to refer to the corresponding sections at the textbook website for extra help as well. It can be found at http://go.hrw.com/gopages/ma/msm2_07.html
Calculators are not to be used for this work. You may use any resources you have available including websites, math books and help from parents, siblings or tutors.
3. Once you complete a page, you can correct the work yourself. You can check your answers by opening the pdf files found below these instructions. Each pdf file has and answer page at the end of the file. You do not need to print the answer pages.
